Tests Commence on New Technique for Grapes
Aglis have developed a new technique for the grafting of grapes. High losses in grafting are common for grapes, largely due to unstable grafts and poor connection. Use of Buddy Tape allows a firm grip on the graft to secure against wind damage and allow a firm connection. The tape contains wax, which prevents dehydration and the tape is elastic enough to grow with the plant.
Controlled technical trials are underway with CREA in Italy and Vignevin in France, with results expected in 2024. Watch this space !
